Creating Diego Pop was the most challenging and exciting task for our workshop. How do you sculpt the wind? How do you give form to a collective emotion?
Rebellious Curls The first thing we focused on was the hair. That mass of dark curls isn't just a hairstyle, it's the symbol of rebellion, of a genius that wouldn't be constrained by any convention. 3D printing technology allowed us to add volume and movement to those curls, bringing them to life.
The Posture of a Genius We didn't want to depict him in a specific play, but in a proud, eternal pose. Diego Pop stands straight, chest out, with the confidence of someone who knows he has an entire city behind him.
Diego Pop is printed in a blue that isn't just any color: it's the blue of that sky under which he made generations dream. Keeping it on your desk or bookshelf isn't just a decorative item. It's a small, secular altar dedicated to the God of Football, a daily reminder that in Naples, sometimes, miracles really do happen.
